BIOGRAPHY IN BRIEF
Born on Saturday, 11th February, 1978 to Torgbui Hor II, the Paramount Chief
of Somey Traditional Council, and the President of the Somey Traditional Council and Madam Innocentia Vida Govina, the Queen
Mother (now deceased). I am the third born boy in a row of three boys and also the third born of five children from my
mother, but the 14th born of 16 children from my father, the Makorsor of Somey. I had my primary Education
at Wisdom International School, Agbozmue now known as Wisdom Children's School, where I completed a five stage course
in the primary level. From there, I moved on to Datus Complex Schools, Bubiashie Branch, to further my education
at the the Junior Secondary level. In 1991, I wrote the 2nd batch of the Basic Educatonion Certificate Examination and
came out with an aggregate six distinction. Due to my brilliance and knowledge I was admitted to one of the
best schools in the Volta Region and Ghana, Mawuli School where I pursued a threee year course in Science with Physics,
Chemistry and Biology as my elective subjects. On 9th December 1994, Lord Amasa as I was popularly called then,
wrote my final examinations and left Mawuli School Compound on the 12th December 1994. Whilst awaiting results, Torgbui
Hor II, my Revered Father suggested to me to become a Driver's mate in his 15 seater trotro toyota bus to which I
readily agreed as I was lonely at home doing nothing. Because of my adventurousness, I got to drive in such a less time
to the surprise of my family. My father was the most surprised. I left for Kasoa in the Central Region to join my brothers
in the farming business. We plough farmlands with tractors, ploughs and harrows. Life was not easy but we were managing till
I got back home to get my Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations Results Slip as they were out. I could not make
it to the University but also refused to join the Teachers Training College. I preferred the farm and automobile industry
to the education I was supposed to further to become a Medical Doctor. In one way or the other, I disappointed my father but
its not a big deal today. But however, I had a seven (7) month stint with Agbozume Community Clinic as a Purchasing Officer
and Accounts Clerk to please my dad.
I still had problem there and got back to my driving job. I drove a couple of years but had to go back to school
as I was not understanding anything in my driving career. In February 2001, after some savings, I enrolled in a computer
school to get myself abreast with the Information Technology world. Since that time till date, I have remained with computers
and this has shown me the light. Thanks to Bill Gates, the brain behind Computers.
